  • excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
  • previous experience in a restaurant or food production environment is advantageous

  • proven experience as a Butcher, preferably in a halal meat shop or similar environment
  • A minimum of 2 years of work experience in a similar role is preferred

  • excellent attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness
  • ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Responsibility


  • staff Management
  • supervise the workplace including breaks
  • prepare schedules by Monday of each week for the week following to meet target labour % and customer service standards
  • liaise with line manager regarding vacancies, walk in and email applicants
  • deliver training as set out in the Company handbooks
  • conduct team appraisals
  • deliver the required levels of staff presentation, personal grooming and uniform, product knowledge, sales training and customer service as set out in the Company handbooks
  • record holidays, sickness, absenteeism on final schedules
  • record and communicate accidents including RIDDOR
  • conduct interviews, block tests and liaise with line manager to agree new appointments and terms. Ensure that new employee information is collected and contract issued
  • liaise with line manager re. employee discipline and disciplinary action

  • cutting, trimming, and preparing various types of meat to customer specifications
  • managing inventory and ordering supplies as needed
  • maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area, including tools and equipment
  • ensure all meat products are handled safely and stored correctly to maintain freshness and quality

  • we’re looking for someone to join our team on a full-time basis. You will primarily work for The Ethical Butcher, but may from time to time also be required to cut and pack meat for Exquisite Range
