  • we have a great opportunity to join our client in their kitchen as a Commis Chef/ Trainee chef
  • the menu and dishes are made from scratch
  • assist in the preparation and cooking of various dishes in a restaurant setting
  • the role will focus on prep and being taught how to cook in lunch and dinner service
  • follow recipes and guidelines provided by the chef or senior kitchen staff
  • ensure that food is prepared and presented according to established standards
  • prepare a rang of produce to create dishes on the menu
  • if you have kitchen experience and knife skills this could be the role for you
  • maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area
  • ensure the kitchen area is clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies
  • assist in the preparation and cooking of dishes according to the chef's specifications
  • maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, ensuring all work areas are tidy and hygienic
  • help with inventory management by monitoring stock levels, reporting shortages and collecting supplies
  • follow all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment
  • collaborate effectively with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours
  • working across various sections of the kitchen, grill, starters, fish, sauce, pass
