Responsibility


  • ensure all relevant organisational factors for change are incorporated and there is a clear rationale for preferred options
  • ensure new risks are identified and escalated through the correct channels with mitigation measures implemented reducing overall risk
  • reporting current state of assurance to Group and UK Stakeholders
  • create, implement and maintain the UK Business Continuity instructions in line with Group requirements
  • deliver improvement projects over and above programme activity
  • maintain and Quality Assess all BC documentation, processes and continuity/recovery plans and test results
  • post exercise review and test report writing
  • proactively contribute to a continual improvement programme, identifying areas within the BC programme to reduce risk and ensure a more effective response to major disruptions
  • provide support to the supplier assurance process and agreement owners to ensure suppliers have appropriate recovery arrangements
  • support the UK Incident and Crisis Management Team requirements
  • represent Business Continuity Management with business stakeholders as a trusted advisor, finding cost-effective continuity solutions that efficiently support the business needs
  • the client would be looking for someone with experience with the following
  • experience as a Business risk Manager or Operational risk Manager
  • public sector experience working with Senior stakeholders
  • valid and current SC Clearance
  • you will be responsible for drafting communications, providing analysis, advice and direction on all business activities to the CEO and members of the Executive team including the Head of Staff
  • overseeing Service Continuity Management processes, procedures and key artefacts such as service continuity plans
  • leading forums such as disaster recovery meetings to identify gaps and improvement opportunities within existing plans
  • supporting Product Teams in testing continuity plans, processes and procedures to ensure that weak points are identified, teams are trained, and workarounds are identified
  • supporting Product Teams in first line fault diagnosis and resolution, coordinating and liaising with internal and external teams to minimise service impacting issues
