Requirements


  • strong relevant industry experience in a market risk management
  • excellent business analysis and project management skills
  • experience working on large-scale projects within an Investment Bank
  • working knowledge and understanding of Financial Services industry
  • understanding of Trade Population workstream is preferable
  • strong knowledge of trade products: fixed income, derivatives, FX, equities etc
  • developing and/or managing projects in areas of science and technology research and entrepreneurship
  • experience in, and understanding of, how to encourage serendipitous cross-fertilisation between different disciplines or sectors
  • completed R&D cycle with a view to effective and successful swift commercialisation, with at least four years in a field related to breakthrough technology and/or deep-tech innovation
  • managing actual or portfolios of world class, ground-breaking innovative projects of various sizes resulting in successful commercialisation, exports, growth and return on investment
  • substantive work that can help in setting up a practical, deliverable and value for money framework assisting funding awardees on their journey from early-stage research to impact
  • developing and championing specific high-risk / high-impact visions for future deep-tech that capitalise on cutting-edge science and emerging trends as well as be able to advise the panel on the latter as necessary

  • A qualified accountant with PQE in FP&A and modelling roles
  • sector experience in either FMCG or Retail is preferable, although any B2C based sectors would be advantageous

Responsibility


  • professional services management
  • collaborate with Northern business partners to develop and execute sourcing and procurement strategies
  • analyze industry and vendor data / trends and make recommendations to business partners about key insights, trade-offs, and risks
  • collect requirements and specifications from partners and lead competitive bidding processes if applicable
  • negotiate commercial arrangements and contracts with vendors
  • present negotiation strategies and opportunities to partners and management
  • assist with forecasting / planning processes, demand management, and developing contracts that scale future enterprise needs
  • provide thought-leadership around improvements of global policies, operations, programs and processes
  • drive vendor quality and performance improvement initiatives and harness vendor innovation ideas
  • serve as a key subject matter expert
  • carry out complex activities with significant financial, client, and/or internal business impacts
  • utilize internal tools and vendor management systems to execute SOWs
  • preferred Qualifications
  • oversee overview and scrutiny and other Council Executive committee processes for children's services
  • manage and Deliver the Councils plans and objectives outlined in the Transport Strategy and associated Action Plans
  • to build an informed, effective and flexible workforce which is able to meet and respond to changing service needs and challenges
  • executive support to the DCS and Assistant Directors of Children’s Services
  • creation and maintenance of roadmaps which describe the key business drivers, and the Information Services that will be provided in response
  • contribute to transformation and improvement agenda in Children’s services and wider council
  • building and maintaining stakeholder relationships; a trusted member of the business partner unit
