good technical skills with little supervision
you will be any of AAT qualified, or studying for AAT, ACCA or other qualifications
alternatively you may have developed your career entirely through experience to date
you may be part or fully AAT qualified, or you may ACA/ACCA studying with a career background preparing accounts/tax etc within accountancy practice, working with wide ranging sole trader, partnership and limited company clients
you will have developed your career to around the Accounting Technician / Business Services Semi - Senior / Senior Accountant levels and be looking to join a growing, successful firm of accountants where you can see the chance to develop your career within a forward moving firm of accountants
most importantly you will have a career background developed within the accountancy practice sector, working within a firm of accountants of any size with at least one to three years experience or more, within the sector preparing accounts, tax, VAT, bookkeeping for limited companies, sole traders and other clients around the Business Services Semi-Senior Accountant levels

Responsibility

management of a varied portfolio of clients
bookkeeping for a variety of clients across all sectors
preparation of monthly/quarterly management accounts as required, quarterly VAT returns and overseeing the client's accounting activities
reporting key performance indicators and variances to clients
assisting with yearend procedures and liaise with other departments
assisting with year-end procedures and liaise with other departments
assisting with the management of clients files
liaising with HMRC
help with ad-hoc tasks
quarterly VAT returns for clients
experience of some management accounts preparation
assisting with the induction and training of new team members
assisting with completion of PAYE forms, P11Ds and P35s
prepare company tax computations, including deferred tax calculations
