Requirements


  • experience in a receptionist role is preferable
  • flexible team player with the ability to embrace change
  • hotel background in managerial role is essential, with previous experience working nights
  • night Receptionist: 2 years
  • previous experience in a customer service or administrative role, preferably in a healthcare or dental setting
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a genuine passion for helping others
  • high school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in office administration is a plus
  • proven experience as a receptionist, front office representative, or similar role
  • familiarity with office equipment
  • strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • experience with scheduling software or appointment management systems
  • professional attitude and appearance
  • knowledge of basic bookkeeping practices
  • ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • hold professional qualifications; NEBOSH diploma or equivalent as a minimum
  • at least 3-5 years H&S professional experience within a transferable manufacturing/engineering environment
  • excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with proven ability to successfully drive behavioural change
  • compelling influencer with ability to lead by example
  • strong leadership skills to guide, support and motivate staff

Responsibility


  • maintain a clean and welcoming front desk area
  • welcome & direct visitors
  • manage security and telecommunications systems
  • conduct local site briefings and check in contractors
  • maintain fire registers and ensure adherence to safety processes
  • create and issue ID cards for new starters, visitors, and contractors
  • control access and conduct security audits
  • being business trends aware and ensuring that hotel sales are maximised
  • supporting brand standards within the night audit team
  • act as another route for the team to communicate any concerns which may arise and help to solve them
  • assist in the covering of shifts and take any steps necessary to ensure that all shifts are covered
  • be security aware at all times, and ensure that the staff, guests and building is safe at all times
  • monitoring the serving of “resident bar” drinks for both quality of service and the safety of those consuming alcohol, and take any steps necessary to deliver a good and safe service
  • solve complaints, queries and concerns as they arise, to the satisfaction of the guests
  • run the reception desk as efficiently and effectively as is expected
  • communicate all information throughout the night audit team
  • manage the arrivals and departure process professionally and in accordance with the Hotel’s policy, ensuring billing and payment transactions are correct
  • responsible for till cash float whist on shift and adhering to the Hotel’s cash handling procedures
  • be fully aware and knowledgeable of all room categories, room rates, packages, promotions at the Hotel
  • deal with all enquiries in a professional and courteous manner, in person and over telephone
