  • must be a VOSA approved MOT tester
  • minimum Level 2 Vehicle Maintenance & Repair NVQ or equivalent
  • A full UK driving license
  • proficiency in the use of modern diagnostic equipment
  • the capability of working to the highest quality standards and to efficiency targets
  • great team player and communication skills
  • you must be a Level 3 qualified Vehicle Technician and able to demonstrate your knowledge and practical skills
  • 3 years qualified experience in Vehicle mechanical repair & servicing
  • it would be a significant advantage if you are already a qualified MOT tester
  • knowledge of and interest in EV also an advantage
  • enthusiasm, self-motivation, and a positive attitude are essential

  • garage: 3 years
  • certificate in Light Vehicle Maintenance Level 3
  • A full and clean MOT record
  • minimum of one year’s experience as an MOT Tester
  • strong attention to detail and high levels of accuracy
  • ability to maintain equipment and tools
  • ability to carry out procedures and checks to a high standard and complete paperwork accurately
  • ability to work as a team player and on your own initiative

Responsibility


  • repairing and replacing parts
  • to carry out vehicle servicing and repairs to all makes and models of light vehicle & LCV
  • to carry out MOT testing – qualification required
  • to ensure customer satisfaction in the service and repair of vehicles – both private and Commercial
  • to employ technical knowledge and skills in all areas of service / repair / fault finding & diagnostics
  • to identify & report any current / future vehicle faults and servicing requirements whilst working on vehicles
  • to ensure all work is thoroughly reviewed and signed off by QC
  • to ensure that all Health & Safety policies are adhered to, and materials / tools are properly maintained
  • to keep work area clean and tidy
  • conducting routine servicing, diagnostics, and repairs
  • testing and Inspecting Vehicles in line with DVSA guidelines
  • ensuring that high quality standards are maintained at all times
  • assisting in reporting and dealing with customers where necessary
  • ensuring the smooth completion of jobs within specified time scales
  • you may also be required to undertake other duties from time to time
  • carry out MOT tests in accordance with DVSA testing standards
  • repair or replace broken or defective parts
  • maintain equipment and make sure tools are in good condition
  • follow checklists to ensure all procedures are completed correctly
  • complete documentation to the required standard
