  • strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • can complete work to a high standard and in a timely manor
  • previous experience in managing a workshop/garage
  • proven experience in automotive repair and maintenance with a strong background in managerial or supervisory roles
  • excellent leadership and interpersonal skills to effectively manage a diverse team
  • in-depth knowledge of various vehicle makes and models, as well as automotive repair techniques
  • exceptional organizational abilities and a keen eye for detail to ensure smooth operations
  • strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure
  • outstanding customer service skills with a focus on building lasting relationships
  • proficiency in computer systems and software used in automotive repair and administrative tasks

Responsibility

  • plan and deploy sufficient resources to maximise technician productivity and service delivery expected by customers
  • drive operational excellence against Company standards reducing operating cost, improving efficiencies, identifying, developing and sharing best practice across the network
  • managing the workshop team and other non-productive staff members
  • you will manage interactions with clients and customers, ensuring they are up keep up to speed with their bookings
  • manage communication between the workshop to chase work progress
  • promoting up-selling on additional products and services where possible, and keep customers informed of the progress of their vehicle whilst taking payments for work completed
  • manage and coordinate workloads for a small team ranging from servicing to full restoration projects
  • diagnose and repair mechanical issues in classic cars
  • perform routine maintenance and tune-ups
  • restore and refurbish classic and or vintage motor vehicle parts
  • collaborate with team to ensure exceptional workmanship and customer satisfaction
  • acknowledge safe working procedures and adhere to company Health and Safety policy
  • deal with all company administration, emails and correspondence
  • liaise with customers and advise on work required and provide quotations
  • ensure a clean and tidy work environment and ensure all tools organised and in the right locations
