Requirements


  • HGV Technician: 7 years
  • NVQ level 3 qualification or time serve
  • an experience working in HGV Dealership

  • worked previously as a HGV Technician, Service Advisor or Workshop Controller for another HGV Dealership
  • worked previously as an HGV Technician or Workshop Controller for another Vehicle Dealership
  • worked previously as a Technician, Service Advisor or Workshop Controller for another Vehicle Dealership. INDS1
  • relevant experience in the automotive industry, including previous workshop control or technician roles
  • high levels of organisation and accuracy
  • strong IT skills
  • fantastic interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate well with customers and colleagues across other departments, both face-to-face and via email
  • the ability to lead by example and motivate your team to achieve their targets and deliver a high standard of work
  • ability to create more work opportunities and sales in an honest and compliant manner
  • previous experience as a senior technician
  • valid driver’s license and a good driving record

Responsibility


  • the Opportunity
  • as a Workshop Controller for Swansway, you’ll work with the Aftersales Manager to deliver a high level of productivity and an excellent standard of first-time repair, while making sure you always maintain a clean, safe and professional workshop
  • the role will be to oversee and manage daily workloads for the Technician team and support the front of house team to manage expectations to maximise the efficiency and performance of the workshop
  • you will be required to constantly review processes to ensure we achieve the highest levels of quality, housekeeping, health and safety and productivity
  • day to day you will allocate work to the team and monitor performance, you will assist and troubleshoot with complex jobs and motivate the team to achieve daily targets
  • undertake staff reviews
  • running VOR reports in the morning / end of day to customers
  • scheduling all jobs / work to the HGV technicians for the duration of shift
  • 100% off the tools
  • booking parts out and ordering parts / consumables
  • quality control work on vehicles
