Requirements

motorbike repair: 2 years
NVQ, C&G or equivalent in motor mechanics or related discipline
proven experience repairing motorcycles and cars
genuine desire to learn and upskill within the automotive industry
excellent communication and interpersonal skills
A strong motorcycle trade mechanic background is required for applicants
be a good communicator and have great interaction skills
highly motivated and have the determination to exceed company business objectives
you must be well-organised and be able to manage your time
work well on your own and also within the team
A relevant formal qualification in Automotive City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3

Responsibility

find and diagnose faults using hand tools or computer devices
repair or replace fault parts whilst carrying out regular preventative maintenance
check stock levels and update vehicle service records
work with high voltage batteries/equipment
deal with reactive maintenance in line with company SLA’s & individual KPI’s
test drive vehicles to ensure that they are road safe
accurately complete job cards and reports, including any written descriptions of faults found or repairs completed
undertaking the repair and servicing of motorcycles to the manufacturer's standards
ensure all work is completed safely and complies with the Company, manufacturer and industry specifications
fulfil all tasks to the customer's complete satisfaction
help the Company achieve industry-leading standards of process efficiency
to build a rapport with customers and identify their requirements
to represent the brand in accordance with dealer standards and Company requirements
group Process/Policy Training
work with colleagues and teammates to meet company business objectives
group Appraisal training
work with other departments to facilitate the servicing and repair of motorcycles via an immediate health check, and detect and diagnose any additional faults for further repair
