job title: Plant Mechanic
location: Drum Industrial Estate, Chester-Le-Street DH2 1AG
hours: Monday to Friday + one Saturday morning in three
diagnosing and repairing faults on a variety of ground care machinery, including JCBs, Scags, blowers etc
conducting routine servicing and preventative maintenance
ensuring all equipment is safe and meets compliance standards
providing technical advice and support to colleagues
you will liaise with the directors and site crews to develop and execute both planned maintenance schedules and reactive maintenance on-site
ensure plant maintenance and repairs are completed in line with the daily check sheets received
develop and maintain planned service schedule
attend sites to rectify issues and perform reactive maintenance
prepare and assist with the loading and unloading of plant and equipment
assist LOLER inspectors and support contribute to company LOLER database
