  • IRTEC
  • NVQ Level 2 or 3
  • sound mechanical knowledge of PCV requirements
  • experience of the London Transport environment or heavy Vehicles
  • technically adept
  • proven experience as an automotive mechanic or technician
  • strong mechanical knowledge of vehicles and their systems
  • ability to read and interpret schematics and technical manuals
  • proficiency in using power tools and hand tools for repairs
  • experience with equipment repair, welding, and assembly
  • you are experienced in vehicle maintenance/repair
  • you will demonstrate at least 5 years’ experience of working on light/Heavy commercial vehicles
  • you are familiar with fault finding and diagnostic equipment
  • you will have excellent communication skills
  • you will have excellent attention to detail
  • you are customer-service orientated, with a positive professional manner

  • experience working on commercial or plant vehicles
  • city and Guilds certification in Motor Mechanics or equivalent

Responsibility


  • servicing, maintenance, inspection and repairs to company and DVSA standards
  • continuous improvement of vehicle reliability
  • MOT preparation, planned preventative maintenance campaigns and quality checks
  • vehicle fault diagnosis and ensuring reliability and maintenance is kept to Standards
  • attend on-road vehicle breakdowns and recoveries
  • carry out vehicle road testing where necessary to identify specific vehicle defects or following remedial repair
