Requirements

recognised apprenticeship or formal training in Avionics
experience in Line or Base Maintenance on commercial aircraft
strong teamwork, flexibility, and attention to detail
eligibility for a London Gatwick Airport airside pass
at least 5 years previous experience working as a mechanic
experience working with ATV’s/UTV’s
experience with hydraulic systems
welding experience
vehicle electronics experience
strong fault finding/problem solving skills
mechanic: 5 years
diesel Mechanic: 2 years
diesel mechanic and fitting: 5 years
high School diploma or equivalent and 4 years additional education or related F-35 GSE experience
doD Intermediate level sheet metal/structures/airframes experience, or commercial/industry equivalent
experience on F-35 or 5th generation programs
U.S. Citizenship required
heavy mods or aircraft reset experience
air Force 5 or 7 Level, US Navy or Marine Corps CDI, or equivalent Airframe and Power Plant
have a current DoD Secret clearance or higher with ability to maintain that clearance

your Role
as one of our Mechanics, you’ll be essential to moving our world forward by helping to deliver what matters
the size and diversity of our fleet means you’ll have plenty of room to develop and expand your skills further
from light vans right up to tractor and trailer units and our growing alternative fuel fleet
current car mechanics who are interested in evolving their skillset to include HGV’s are welcome to apply
expertly handle a variety of repairs and maintenance work on a large fleet
perform scheduled maintenance, defect rectifications, and repairs on Avionic and Electrical systems
ensure accurate completion of technical documentation
work closely with Licensed Aircraft Engineers to maintain high safety and operational standards
maintain a clean and safe work environment
rate: AUD$60p/h
installs detail parts such as shims, splices, gussets, angles, brackets, doublers, and patches
modifies major structural components such ribs, stiffeners, longerons, straps and skins using shop aids to facilitate assembly and installation as required
you will perform scheduled maintenance and in-depth repair, as required, on F-35 aircraft ground support equipment
you will review maintenance records to ensure equipment is fully operational in support of daily equipment requirements
repair aircraft metallic and composite structural defects / damages secondary to aircraft operations and corrosion
you will use an assortment of basic hand tools in addition to precision measuring devices
carrying out routine inspections maintenance and repairs on all makes of vehicles & trailers to VOSA standard
diagnosing and rectifying all types of HGV faults
