Requirements

as a part of your role, you will be responsible for maintaining the company's HGVs
if you are not qualified, applications will be considered from candidates with experience in repair and maintenance of HGV/PSV
A full UK driving licence
ability to be passed fit for a pre-employment medical
HGV motor vehicle technician background
attained the appropriate City & Guilds, NVQ or BTEC qualifications
minimum of Class 2 License
hydraulics experience is desirable
welding and forklift experience is desirable
carry out routine inspections, servicing and repairs to HGV fleet and trailers
HGV Mechanic: 3 years
city & Guilds/NVQ level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Mechanics OR qualified by experience
strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to diagnose and repair vehicles
proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment
knowledge of automotive systems, including engines, transmissions and brakes

Responsibility

from £18.66 to £27.03 per hour
maintaining sites HGVs and ensuring the work is completed on time and as per manufacturer guidelines
we have a variation of shifts available, including early mornings, afternoons, lates, as well as 1 in 4 Saturdays
ensuring all breakdowns and reactive works are completed with high standards and in a timely manner
accurately diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults with the HGV's and across the site
taking proactive measures to improve ways of working
accurately communicating technical information and outstanding work tyour team mates
we are excited to partner with M&S to find a qualified HGV technician to join our engineering team and play a key role of the servicing and repairing of our large fleet of vehicles in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner
