Requirements


  • ability to lead and manage a team including experience of recruitment, induction, supervision, motivation, appraisal, training, performance management
  • experience : Experience of working with or supporting people with mental ill health and complex needs
  • compliance: Up to date DBS on update service, right to work in the UK
  • self-motivated and able to use own initiative to find solutions
  • excellent communication skills, with elderly residents, visitors and other members of staff
  • you will genuinely want to make a real difference to the lives of our residents
  • confidence to stimulate residents and encourage participation in activities
  • A calm but outgoing personality with a passion for care
  • experience is welcome, but training will be provided
  • creativity and imagination are key for this role
  • you will demonstrate genuine enthusiasm towards the role and the care sector
  • the ability to take initiative and to have a positive, can-do attitude is essential
  • previous experience as an activity coordinator or similar role, ideally within a mental health or care setting
  • qualification in health and social care, therapeutic recreation, occupational therapy, or a related field is desirable
  • excellent organisational and time management skills
  • strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate clients
  • creative and adaptable, with a genuine passion for improving the lives of individuals with mental health needs
  • ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • understanding of mental health issues and a compassionate approach to working with vulnerable individuals

  • experience in planning, delivering, facilitating and coordinating a varied programme of social, cultural, recreational, educational, physical and spiritual activities
  • manage all bookings on behalf of activity groups following the guidelines in place
  • processing new bookings, cancellations, monitoring the waiting list and filling any available spaces for upcoming events
  • conduct a show around of the Club’s facilities and viewing of the banqueting rooms to the member as required
  • carry out any other duties as may be appropriate to the grade and scope of the post
  • respond to member queries and feedback
  • the Royal Automobile Club is an exclusive world-class private members club, with 2 stunning clubhouses in London and Epsom
  • providing a first-class service offering accommodation, dining, sports and leisure facilities for the enjoyment of our members and guests
  • attend events as required, this may include weekends and evenings at both clubhouses. To assist to control and manage individual event costings
  • based 5 days per week in Pall Mall with travel to Woodcote Park, Epsom. This role involves attending events which may include evening and weekends over both clubhouses
  • communicate any changes in the physical or mental wellbeing of the residents to care staff
  • provide a comprehensive programme of activities that ensures residents are able to participate in a variety of activities that cover many interests and provide the opportunity to take up new hobbies
  • plan events and outings, taking into account transportation needs and any other necessary considerations
  • previous experience of Office reception work in a care home setting is essential
  • we are currently expanding our team and are looking for an experienced administrator
