Requirements

ability to lead and manage a team including experience of recruitment, induction, supervision, motivation, appraisal, training, performance management
experience : Experience of working with or supporting people with mental ill health and complex needs
compliance: Up to date DBS on update service, right to work in the UK
self-motivated and able to use own initiative to find solutions
excellent communication skills, with elderly residents, visitors and other members of staff
you will genuinely want to make a real difference to the lives of our residents
confidence to stimulate residents and encourage participation in activities
A calm but outgoing personality with a passion for care
experience is welcome, but training will be provided
creativity and imagination are key for this role
you will demonstrate genuine enthusiasm towards the role and the care sector
the ability to take initiative and to have a positive, can-do attitude is essential
previous experience as an activity coordinator or similar role, ideally within a mental health or care setting
qualification in health and social care, therapeutic recreation, occupational therapy, or a related field is desirable
excellent organisational and time management skills
strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate clients
creative and adaptable, with a genuine passion for improving the lives of individuals with mental health needs
ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
understanding of mental health issues and a compassionate approach to working with vulnerable individuals
