  • experience of advocating for user research and engaging colleagues and stakeholders
  • broad and specialist user research experience in a digital/IT environment and large complex organisations
  • experience of helping teams to adopt user centred service design and delivery practices and embed them into their agile workflow

  • experience of working in agile software development teams, helping to prioritise features utilising research and problem definition
  • lead the planning of user research for services with challenging user needs and complex user journeys

Responsibility


  • communicate user research findings to help the team and wider organisation develop a deep understanding of users and their needs
  • produce impactful and actionable insights to inform, guide design, product and business decisions
  • you will be leading on a wide range of user research projects to help them understand users' needs, movitations, mindsets, behaviour and end-to-end journeys
  • be bold and creative in trying out new methods and approaches, and actively seek out better ways to improve and do research
  • involve colleagues and relevant senior stakeholders in the research process from research scoping, to observation, analysis, reporting to ensure learnings are being acted upon
  • be responsible for documenting research findings and communicating insights across GDS and beyond
