Comment on the job position of chemical engineer

Requirements

engineering degree in relevant subject at MEng/BEng or MSc/BSc level
minimum 7 years' experience working as a Process/Chemical Engineer
competent in a variety of risk management processes
experience working on an operational site as Process Engineer
project and commissioning experience
experience of COMAH regulations and having worked on a COMAH site
experience of delivering key process engineering scopes such as mass & energy balances, P&IDs, Cause and Effects, equipment sizing and Operating procedures
A degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or aligned subject
commercial awareness and an understanding of sales and marketing activities and techniques
an awareness of the treatment and use of process additive solutions in chemical production
strong communication skills
degree in Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or similar qualifications
demonstrable experience in process modelling and optimization, using computation fluid dynamics
degree qualified in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
significant experience in Process Engineering; FEED, calculations and on-site installation/commissioning
experience of compressed gases and cylinder filling operations is desirable
history of leading design teams, chairing meetings and liaising with customers
capable of operating independently which would normally be associated with Chartered status but may have been gained through though other routes
chemistry
educated to degree standard in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering with significant relevant technical experience

lead and develop a team in delivering high-quality process designs and engineering solutions
ensure the technical and professional advancement of your team
influence technical decisions within projects, understanding their commercial context
own the design process: from determining and developing the process to acting as its guarantor
degree in Chemical or Process Engineering
provide technical guidance on design changes and process improvements
development of process design and P&IDs
involvement in HAZOP
creating functional design specifications
producing process flow and block flow diagrams
carrying out mass and energy balance calculations
creating the user requirement specification for the process
sizing of process plant equipment
factory acceptance and customer acceptance testing
carrying out process commissioning at customer site
70% office based – 30% travelling to client sites globally
A Chemical Engineering Degree
provide expertise and technical support to sales in EMEA, , plant production issues and resolutions
