  • direct line management for a team of claims handlers, including responsibility for overall performance, motivation, training and development through effective supervision and communication and managing any performance concerns or escalations

Responsibility

  • oversee the AP function for the UK group
  • provide cover of AP clerks when needed, receiving and recording invoices from suppliers
  • reconcile AP vendor accounts
  • lead AP project of reducing parked invoices and unallocated payments on account, meeting monthly KPIs
  • respond to supplier and internal payment chasers/queries
  • process contractor invoices
  • manage a team of 3 account payable clerks in the London office as well as supervise our accounts payable outsourced function provided in South Africa
  • manage daily payment list, prioritising supplier payments
  • assist with other tasks within the Treasury Team
  • create month end reports
  • manage weekly AP report, provided directly to the Group Financial Controller and Finance Director
  • direct line management for a team of claims handlers
  • ensuring that all files are run to an effective conclusion
  • driving high performance, able to address any performance concerns
  • able to conduct issues such as adherence to internal and client SLAs and KPIs
  • ensuring any client complaint is dealt with effectively
