  • our client is searching for an enthusiastic Retail Sales Consultant, for their modern showroom in St Albans
  • they don't do pushy sales; they believe their product range sells itself
  • you'll be an advisor providing guidance both on design and technical specifics
  • preparation of quotes is key to their business and requires some knowledge of building properties and heating principles
  • they need people who can convey complex principles in a concise manner; people who can give their retail customers the confidence to buy from them and provide the aftersales support too
  • it's a retail role and will involve working alternate Saturdays
  • they are one of a few leading online suppliers of high-end home decoration, who also have a High Street presence, both in Islington, Clapham & Brighton
  • advising and mentoring newer members of staff
  • raising quotations and pro forma invoices, ensuring these are chased regularly
  • general showroom upkeep including organisation of stock/tidying and labelling
  • greet customers and ascertain what each customer wants or needs, without being overbearing
  • maintain knowledge of current sales and promotions, policies regarding payment and exchanges, and security practices
  • continually learn about the product ranges
  • maintain records related to sales
  • watch for and recognise security risks and thefts, and know how to prevent or handle these situations
  • recommend, select, and help locate or obtain merchandise based on customer needs and desires
  • to offer clients a luxury sales experience
  • communicate effectively with both trade and retail clients
  • manage all aspects of the quote and order process efficiently to include actioning follow-ups
