Requirements

  • must have a valid ECS card
  • proven experience as an Electrician / NICEEC / NAPIT
  • sound knowledge of electrical systems, wiring and relevant regulations
  • strong troubleshooting and problem- solving skills
  • ability to work independently and effectively manage time and resources
  • excellent communication and customer service skills
  • valid electrical certification as per regulatory requirements
  • NVQ level 3 electrical installer or equivalent
  • 2391 Inspection & testing certificate
  • 18th edition qualification
  • solar PV & Battery storage qualification - advantageous but not essential
  • electrical: 2 years

Responsibility

  • several positions for self-motivated electricians to work on price on several large residential sites within Cambridge with immediate starts available
  • work has been secured for the foreseeable future, so long-term work is available
  • occasional Saturday work as well if required
  • most sites are based on 1/2 bedroom apartments with some smaller housing developments in and around the Cambridgeshire area
  • drawings and accurate price lists available on request to serious parties
  • prices for a 1 bedroom apartment start at £320 for a 1st fix with some larger 5 bedroom houses fetching £1,327.50. 1 bedroom apartments are very achievable within a day with some 2 bedrooms also being possible
  • we operate on a standard 1st fix, occasional mid-fix, 2nd fix and finals basis, where each phase is signed off on our app
  • the sub-contractor submits photos and answers questions to provide evidence of completion, which in turn is ratified by one of our supervisors
  • payment is weekly on Fridays. The process involves invoicing all works completed the previous week by Tuesday morning at the latest. Then, once accompanied by a satisfactory completion checklist is paid by the following Friday
