  • logistics Strategy and Portfolio Manager

  • experience in logistics and/or supply chain in the retail sector
  • experience in tech delivery change and infrastructure
  • strong communication skills capable of influencing senior stakeholders, and at all levels within the organisation
  • logistics / Transport systems would be useful but not essential
  • ability to structure, create and navigate a network strategic plan
  • excellent stakeholder management as there are a number of senior stakeholders involved
  • results driven, possess business acumen and commercial astuteness and understands the retail commercial levers to pull
  • happy with part time
  • strong customer orientation and listening abilities, with great planning and organisational skills
  • some willingness to travel
  • ability to 'horizon scan' for the next project/s and lead them to successful implementation
  • working to KPIs - enabling the appropriate level of capacity, customer proposition and CTS in the medium to long term plan
  • commercially focused with the ability to identify the right, and pragmatic solution
  • strong experience in Project Management, ideally in the logistics sector
  • strong experience as a Product Manager in large eCommerce/retail brand
  • CRM implementation experience

Responsibility


  • responsible for compliance with health and safety regulations and quality standards
  • ensure ‘The Unipart Way’ is implemented and embedded across the site and use the principles to ensure operational excellence
  • drive the adoption and use of digital applications and automated solutions to support and embed our Warehouse of the Future vision
  • embed a culture of employee engagement across the site; where the site is considered to be exemplary
  • manage Senior Operations Managers - and their direct reports
  • ensure that resource skills and levels are consistent with medium and long-term business plans
  • overall accountability for operational performance to Service Level Agreements and Key Performance Indicators
  • take the lead driving and embedding sustainability actions on your site in support of our commitment to become carbon neutral by 2030, and our pledge to reach 'carbon net zero' by 2050 or sooner
  • it will be your responsibility to ensure that the operating budget is set and managed within targets
  • overall accountability for compliance with legal and ethical people management practice
  • responsible for effective two-way communication processes with team, customer, and suppliers

  • responsible for attending all 3PL Commercial and Operations meetings

  • management of Vendor Performance Across on Time Delivery, Cost and HSE goals
