Requirements


  • driver
  • A full Driving Licence with Category D or D1 without restriction
  • experience of driving a larger vehicle, either personally or professionally
  • strong communication skills with the ability to deal with people who may be confused or have hearing issues
  • flexibility in working hour availability
  • demonstrate reliability and punctuality
  • knowledge of the BH23 area

Responsibility


  • replenishing PPE, undertaking and reviewing risk assessments
  • monitoring fuel levels and refilling as and when required
  • maintaining all records on the bus i.e., bus manual, fuel/mileage record, "near miss" and accident book
  • undertaking weekly safety checks
  • ensuring that both vehicles are kept clean and free of any rubbish
  • maintaining a register of the location of the bus keys and coordinating with drivers and hirers prior to hire or use
  • monitoring the feedback from other drivers daily check lists to note & react to any comments about their observation
