A full clean Driving license and experience of driving large vehicles such as TUGS/HGV/PCV
as part of a successful Port Operations team you will be responsible for the safe and successful mooring of vessels in and out of the port in line with arrival and departure deadlines
main function is the assisting with the smooth and effective transportation of passenger and vehicles to and from the vessels, whilst ensuring their experience is as pleasurable as possible by providing the highest standards of customer service to all our guests
shift Flexibility: Ability to work both day and night shifts
transportation: Must have a valid driving licence and own transport
safety First: Health and Safety focus is essential
training: CHIP training is a plus, but not required as we provide full training
mandatory Testing: Must pass a Drug and Alcohol test
previous experience working within a gas environment like the role advertised
A good knowledge and experience of gas appliances; testing, purging and the commissioning of pipework
an understanding of Standards, Legislation, Codes of Practice and Health and Safety
the ability to solve technical issues and think on your feet

Lead Gas Engineer / First Call Operative
This position will be based in the Ellesmere Port / Crewe areas. As this role can require Emergency Response, your location will be checked at screening stage.
The Important Bit
As a Lead Gas Engineer with us you could potentially earn £38k - £43k per year!
When you join us here at Cadent, and to make sure we train you to be at your best, we ask you to carry out a period of probation. Throughout this time, you will earn a base salary of £28,615. Once we have upskilled you in all things Gas Emergency Service Operations, you will progress to a base of £31,794.
If you work over your contracted hours you will be entitled to an hourly rate of pay. Throughout our peak times, we may require you to work additional hours, which of course attracts an additional hourly rate of pay. As we operate 365 days a year, you will need to undertake overnight standbys which will vary in amount depending on the area you work in. This standby will offer you an additional set payment of £77 per weeknight and £127 per weekend. On top of all of that, we want to recognise you for being at your best. Once you have passed you probation, you will also receive a monthly incentive payment based on team performance. This is our way of thanking you for your Customer Service.
