Requirements

  • must hold a full DVLA licence for a minimum of one year
  • aged 19 or over

  • previous proven Experience of Port operational duties and requirements
  • excellent communication Skills and proven customer service experience
  • A full clean Driving license and experience of driving large vehicles such as TUGS/HGV/PCV
  • shift Flexibility: Ability to work both day and night shifts
  • transportation: Must have a valid driving licence and own transport
  • safety First: Health and Safety focus is essential
  • training: CHIP training is a plus, but not required as we provide full training

Responsibility

  • CCN1, CESP1 or CMA1
  • previous experience working within a gas environment like the role advertised
  • A good knowledge and experience of gas appliances; testing, purging and the commissioning of pipework
  • an understanding of Standards, Legislation, Codes of Practice and Health and Safety
  • the ability to solve technical issues and think on your feet
  • A full UK driving licence

  • where relevant, understand and ensure targets are met ensuring that targets and operations remain continuous around safe and timely handover of shifts
  • cleaning of equipment and site as required and assisting in various other port duties
  • pro-active attitude to Health and Safety and a willingness to contribute to/improve Risk Assessments and Safe Systems of Work
  • participate in any training deemed necessary in order to improve individual skills and knowledge and efficiency of the company
  • mooring and loading and unloading of all vessels on arrival
  • transportation of passengers and luggage to the vessels, and delivery of unaccompanied freight by driving of TUG Masters as required
  • traffic marshalling of freight and passenger vehicles for safe embarkment and disembarkment of the vessel
  • baggage handling from terminal to ferry
  • housekeeping of port areas and other routine jobs as required
  • assisting passengers onto the ferries
  • traffic marshalling of all car passengers for same embarkement and disembarkement
  • fill all vehicles with fuel as required on the first day of your 3 day shift
