Requirements

  • must hold a full DVLA licence for a minimum of one year
  • aged 19 or over
  • willing to be trained for internal tractor / tug driving
  • flexible approach to working patterns
  • you must weigh less than 140 kg
  • previous proven Experience of Port operational duties and requirements
  • excellent communication Skills and proven customer service experience
  • A full clean Driving license and experience of driving large vehicles such as TUGS/HGV/PCV
  • hold a full UK driving licence
  • experience driving large vehicles is preferred but not essential

Responsibility

  • CCN1, CESP1 or CMA1
  • previous experience working within a gas environment like the role advertised
  • A good knowledge and experience of gas appliances; testing, purging and the commissioning of pipework
  • an understanding of Standards, Legislation, Codes of Practice and Health and Safety
  • the ability to solve technical issues and think on your feet
  • A full UK driving licence

  • operate Tug Masters as the primary focus of the role, ensuring the safe and efficient movement of unaccompanied freight
  • mooring and loading and unloading of all vessels on arrival
  • uphold the Stena Line brand by demonstrating our core values of being welcoming, caring, and reliable
  • transportation of passengers and luggage to the vessels, and delivery of unaccompanied freight by driving of TUG Masters as required
  • provide top-level customer service in line with our standards at Ports and Terminals
  • traffic marshalling of freight and passenger vehicles for safe embarkment and disembarkment of the vessel
  • assist with the loading and unloading of freight and vehicles during vessel arrivals and departures
  • housekeeping of port areas and other routine jobs as required
  • safely marshal freight and passenger vehicles for smooth embarkation and disembarkation
  • contribute to fostering a positive safety culture and psychological safety within the team
  • where relevant, understand and ensure targets are met ensuring that targets and operations remain continuous around safe and timely handover of shifts
  • cleaning of equipment and site as required and assisting in various other port duties
