the successful Executive Head Housekeeper will have the following
carry out all cleaning requirements to a high standard
polishing silver and copper
keeping track of stocks of household provisions
meeting tradespeople and overseeing household accounts and utilities
hiring freelancers as required
prepping the family for travel including packing and unpacking travel suitcases
running errands, including dropping off and collecting dry cleaning
laundry Management: putting clothes in laundry, moving to dryer, ironing & wardrobe maintenance
looking after 2 small dogs, walking them and providing day to day care
liaising with the chef to ensure breakfast provisions are stocked and coordinating with the weekend Housekeeper to ensure the kitchen is stocked for the weekend
making small repairs - e.g. changing light bulbs
arranging appointments for the dogs - groomer, vet, dog walker
assisting the house manager and covering for annual leave
managing a small team of housekeepers on a daily basis
rota management and ensuring holiday and sick cover when needed
assisting with recruitment of both permanent and temporary housekeeping staff
daily housekeeping including cleaning, laundry and ironing
looking after fine furnishings and antique furniture
flower arranging
