Responsibility


  • household cleaning as part of the day to day routine
  • understand and respond to the specific needs of the clients
  • respect the rights, needs and dignity of the clients, while ensuring their behaviour does not harm themselves or others
  • attend staff meetings and reviews, some of which may be outside of work hours
  • communicate with care managers, families, and other agencies to provide a high-quality, outcome focused level of care and service
  • monitor the clients’ wellbeing and progress, documenting and completing daily record sheets
  • be responsible for ensuring that all drugs and medicines are securely stored and administered safely and correctly
  • be familiar with Shine Care’s Health and Safety policy and promote safe working practices
  • ensure full compliance with infection control and procedure following company policy
  • these shifts also include weekend work, you need to be flexible with the days you can work
  • we are looking for a caring, positive, fun loving person to help support a female in her own home, no two days will be the same in this role, you could be spending days doing arts & crafts, baking, DIY, shopping or going out for lunch
  • this position would be to support a gentleman in the community to live as independently as possible. A driving licence is essential for this role as he enjoys socialising, sports and being outdoors within the community
  • you must have a can do attitude and a love of animals is essential as part of the role is to help look after the 2 family dogs
  • section 7 of the Sex Discrimination Act 1975 applies that there is a genuine occupational requirement for female staff for these positions
  • hours: 7.30-7.30 days & waking nights
  • complex care experience is preferential due to the nature of the care although for the right applicant training and competencies will be delivered
  • this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions
  • following a care plan and call schedule
  • keeping people safe, well and reporting any issues
  • working as part of a respected & friendly team
