Requirements


  • have your own vehicle for the job

  • diploma in Health and Social Care NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent
  • experience in supporting adults with challenging behavior, learning disabilities and/or Mental Health issues
  • ability to keep calm under pressure
  • the confidence to work alone or as part of a team

  • ability to travel to and from Blackpool every day
  • child DBS on the update service
  • be able to contact your two most recent employers for references
  • have current, valid documents for proof of address and photo ID

Responsibility


  • to participate in the day to day implementation of individual support plans and activities
  • maintain effective communication and liaise with service users, families and others whilst respecting appropriate confidentiality
  • support service users with the preparation of meals, laundry duties, cleaning and social events
  • maintain accurate notes and records as when required
  • work part of a team to provide high quality care
  • the Care Attendant will assist in the provision of care to any service user formally referred to Crossroads by Social Services and subsequent implementation of Personal Care Plan
  • the post holder will provide respite care which may include sitting services, befriending and taking clients out, and encouraging socialisation
  • experience supporting young adults with learning difficulties and disabilities
  • experience or willingness to assist with personal care
  • excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively
  • A valid DBS registered with the online update service or be willing to apply for a new DBS
