Responsibility


  • responsible for the day to day supervision of the road crossing of children and other users at the designated crossing point
  • assist in the operational management of the school crossing patrol function to achieve service objectives
  • to at all times promote a professional image of the organisation
  • to wear the full uniform provided by KMBC while on duty. This is a legal requirement
  • to observe traffic and only stop in accordance with the law and in a safe manner
  • be responsible for safely crossing all crossers once the traffic is at a standstill
  • ensure compliance with all corporate policies and procedures
  • to participate in the staff review and development process
  • to attend any relevant meetings
  • implement and act in accordance with the Information Security Acceptable Use policy and Data Protection Policy
  • report actual or potential security incidents
  • protect the council’s information assets from unauthorised access, disclosure, modification, destruction or interference
  • to inform management of any health and safety or safeguarding issues that may place individuals in danger
