Requirements


  • engineering based qualification

  • must be educated to HNC or above within an engineering discipline
  • working experience of leading a team within a processing facility
  • must have Top Tier COMAH site experience
  • knowledge of Air Separation operations or similar plant is desirable
  • ability to manage issues of an inter-disciplinary nature is preferred
  • excellent communication skills with a high level of personal integrity
  • NVQ Level 4 or equivalent in Supervisory Management
  • strong technical background or proven relevant experience
  • comprehensive management experience within an FMCG company
  • must be able to demonstrate experience of leading, coaching and mentoring teams. Delivering results through people

Responsibility


  • contribute fully to all site and business quality, safety and environmental initiatives
  • lead and manage a shift team and maintain excellent working relationships with all site personnel
  • supervise, monitor and control plant operations to meet quality and operational requirements
  • control and supervise contractor personnel in accordance with site rules, regulations and permit to work requirements
  • identify and resolve operational issues as they arise
  • act as senior person on site for on/off site emergencies and implement site emergency plans as required
  • ensure all site operations are always conducted in a safe manner and in accordance with the company operating and safety standards
  • produce regular management reports and KPI’s
  • to be actively involved in NPD projects which affect your department
  • effective day-to-day management of 4 direct reports and indirect reports, including performance appraisals, personal development and succession planning
  • continuously improve safety standards across shifts, resulting in a reduction in accidents and increase near miss reporting in line with company KPI’s
