Requirements


  • good knowledge of tool room equipment such as milling, drilling, polishing, bench work and finishing
  • must be confident using all manual workshop machinery including Lathes, Mills and Grinding machines
  • must be confident using all manual workshop machinery CNC Mills, conventional mills and lathes and grinders
  • experience in service, maintenance, and repair of mould tools
  • qualified plastic injection mould tool toolmaker
  • experience with Injection Mould Toolmaking is essential
  • welding experience is desirable but not essential
  • apprentice trained toolmaker
  • able to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • experience with CAD will be an advantage
  • CNC or Manual machining experience
  • the ability to work as an individual and as part of a team
  • experience with injection mould tooling preferred
  • press Tool Maker either for metal and steel forms and understand different grades of steel i.e. stainless steel and alloys

  • you will be a traditional time served apprentice trained Toolmaker or Mechanical Engineer
  • the company would consider someone with mould tool experience looking to gain experience of tooling of press tools

  • preferably a Time Served Apprentice trained in Mechanical Engineering, Manual Machinist, Toolmaker or Developing Press Tool components

  • be familiar with hot runner manifolds, hydraulic and pneumatic system design, assembly, installation, and maintenance
  • measure, mark and scribe dimensions and reference points on material or work piece as guides for machining
  • test and confirm electrical and hydraulic/pneumatic system design, assembly, installation, and maintenance
  • select, align, secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machine to machine parts
