Requirements


  • must have at least 2 years in a Senior / Leader / Managerial type role, in a similar setting
  • A minimum of 6 months experience in an elderly care home, including dementia care
  • have a good awareness of CQC regulations
  • excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • friendly, approachable and assertive, with a caring and flexible approachable
  • knowledge of basic care and support
  • must be fully vaccinated against Covid
  • must have right to work in UK, and live in the UK
  • senior care: 1 year
  • A QCF Level 3 in Children and Young People is essential for this role
  • you need to be over 21 years of age – but there is no upper limit
  • you need to hold a full driving licence
  • two References Required
  • previous experience in a senior care role
  • strong communication and leadership skills
  • good organisational skills and ability to prioritise workload
  • ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • empathetic and caring nature

Responsibility


  • communicate with patients, visitors, and carers to ensure they are comfortable and safe
  • introducing regular and emergency ECG monitoring and supporting phlebotomy
  • assist with the admission, safe transfer, and discharge of the patient
  • the accurate feedback of observations to the service user and the clinical teams supporting them
  • maintain patient clinical records in a concise, accurate and timely manner
  • support families/carers as directed by the Registered Nurse and multidisciplinary team
  • physical monitoring of service users including: Weight, Height, Blood pressure, pulse, temperatures, Blood sugars within a physical health clinic
  • to act as an advocate and ensure that there is proper regard for peoples’ dignity, choice, self-esteem, racial, cultural, sexual and religious needs and preferences

  • to assist in the induction of new staff and training as required including NVQs
  • to delegate duties to staff and supervise resident care plans, ensuring that they are reviewed and updated regularly
  • to support the deputy manager in ensuring high quality standards at the service
  • to support the On Call service by carrying out on-call duties
  • to support the Deputy Manager in supervising the staff team
  • to support the Deputy Manager in ensuring support plans and risk assessments are up to date and in place
