Requirements


  • experience in leading the development of complex software systems
  • knowledge of developing cloud native solutions using Azure services including Data Lake, Synapse, APIM, and Azure Functions
  • experience of DevOps and automation tooling
  • experience working with external partners alongside internal resources
  • hands on experience of Agile and/or Lean delivery methodologies
  • strong project delivery skills including accurate project planning, delivering to milestone dates, managing resources effectively, and communicating status effectively
  • excellent inter-personal and communication skills with ability to build relationships with technical, business, and senior management stakeholders
  • A high degree of organisation skill with excellent attention to detail
  • proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues at Expert level
  • infrastructure design and build using Dell Vx Rail and provisioning through VMWare
  • expert knowledge of the challenges of implementing complex enterprise IS systemscomprising on-premise server infrastructure, hardware, software and networking

  • ability to see big-picture designs from basic specifications
  • experience in assuring comprehensive specifications for secure IS solutions at anenterprise

  • ARB registered Architect
  • proficiency in Revit, SketchUp and other relevant design software

Responsibility


  • internal technical lead for co-development of the solution alongside external partners and internal resources
  • ensuring application of technical governance with good architectural and cyber security standards and principles
  • support assessment of opportunities to exploit and/or integrate existing business and technical capabilities
  • work with business stakeholders and technical SMEs across organisational boundaries to develop project definitions and high-level solution designs
  • drive collaboration, teamwork and co-development
  • active role in the planning and execution of project including management of items such as scope, agile delivery plans, risks, issues, and opportunities
  • project management tasks collaborating with a mix of internal staff and external partners to successfully deliver project in a matrix management environment
  • lead the Engineering and Assurance strategy for complex IS Projects and Major Enterprise Infrastructure delivery
  • ensure requirements for solutions are being met by proposed solution designs
  • assure the delivery of both technical solution delivery partners and internal engineering
  • author and assure technical design and security design documentation
  • create process designs, low-level detail designs and other similar documentation
  • contribute to the production of Management Information / internal KPI reports , and Knowledge Based Articles
  • review activity and SME input into proposed solution designs, including requirement definition, security considerations, functional fit, capability and delivery capability
  • create and maintain technical design and systems support documentation
  • evaluating and assessing risk as part of application and system lifecycle management
  • produce Knowledge Base Articles and promote the transfer of knowledge
  • contribute to the development of the Business Case updates and Review Notes, operations plans and
  • support and review existing and new requirements, including User, System, HLD, and LLD to ensure content and clarity to an appropriate level of detail
  • build, testing installation and commissioning of resistant secure architecture at UK SECRET classification
