Responsibility


  • this role focuses on defining and driving a consistent and achievable long-term sales strategy, to identify target markets and new potential revenue streams while developing sales and account management process to promote growth and further client profitability
  • beyond managing day-to-day business operations, the role also plays a key part in formulating and leading medium/long-term strategic and development plans relating to company growth, while also taking part in financial reporting and account in order to deliver the annual business and budget plans
  • managing the full sales process, from web inquiry to phone & showroom
  • managing staff performance from structured 121’s to training & development
  • implementing department targets and brand KPI's
  • responsible for buying in vehicles. As well as up to date stock pricing
  • ensuring full FCA compliance within the Sales Department
  • manage and own our Customer Satisfaction
  • lead the sales department meetings on a daily basis ensuring all relevant prospecting and day to day planning is discussed
  • ensure all Sales related paperwork is completed accurately and in a timely manner
  • actively promote the company values of Trusted, Passionate, and Progressive acting as a role model for the Centre
  • proactively develop one Sales Team in the Centre, motivating the team to sell both new and used cars
  • support the Retail Sales Managers in the implementation of initiatives
  • working with the Centre Accountant and Centre Principal ensure forecasting is accurate and on time
  • plan and manage the new car allocation, developing sales plans
  • control and sign off each and every new and used deal
  • take an active part in the overall Centre Management, making sure that there is interdepartmental communication and consistency, leveraging customer relationships to promote both Sales and Service business
  • proactive approach in ensuring new and used vehicles are displayed to their best advantage
  • manage and understand all financial transactions, including overheads, payment procedures, client specific requirements, debtors and costs in line with budgets set, highlighting areas of concern to the Centre Principal
  • ensure the staff induction and appraisal process is applied to all relevant staff, ensuring appropriate training and development takes place
