  • A deep understanding of manufacturing processes, manufacturing methods, application of existing manufacturing, engineering, and product knowledge
  • experience in Supplier Quality Assurance/Supplier Development in an Engineering or Manufacturing environment
  • demonstrable experience of managing Supplier Quality / Development with powertrain suppliers would be an advantage

Responsibility


  • develop and implement quality control processes, conduct audits, assess supplier capabilities, and monitor performance to ensure compliance with company standards
  • oversee and confirm G&F checks on painted bodies in Coventry and complete cars in Thetford, aligning initial activities with supplier
  • monitor build and EOL inspections in Thetford, ensuring issues are identified and resolved
  • review and ensure resolution of issues during offtracks processes
  • remotely monitor CPA/Final buy-off issues in Coventry, maintaining communication with CPA Auditor/Project Lead, and ensuring corrective actions by supplier
  • ensure timely submission and compliance of PPAP elements by supplier
  • lead the charge with any issues or addressing problems - conduct root cause analysis for supplier or part issues, escalating to relevant teams, and leading problem-solving activities using 8D methodologies

  • working closely with the Purchasing and other Engineers in terms of managing supplier activity
  • obtaining quotations and implementing engineering changes on existing part numbers
  • participating in supplier evaluation, selection, and strategic sourcing process development

  • ensuring suppliers use quality tools effectively
  • working with suppliers to ensure all product requirements are met through the effective use of Minitab, FMEA, Control Plans and SPC
  • responsible for determining that all requirements are met by the supplier for new or updated products
  • measuring supplier quality performance according to established procedures; driving appropriate improvements to meet established targets
  • facilitating continuous improvement activities to reduce defect
  • participate in supplier evaluation, selection, and strategic sourcing process development
  • assist in the supplier corrective action process including containment, root cause investigation, and corrective action
  • ensure suppliers use quality tools effectively
