NVQ level 2 in plumbing and heating is desirable but not essential
knowledge of mechanical and electrical components associated with repairs and installation works

liaise with the other Storekeepers when ordering stock to prevent an overstock of
control storage of gas bottles in strict compliance with legislative requirements
handling deliveries of materials

1st Step Solutions are looking for a Mechanical Stores Person in Southwark, SE1. We are looking for a Mechanical Stores Person to work on a busy construction site in Southwark, SE1
receiving, checking, and storing deliveries of materials and equipment
managing stock levels and carrying out regular inventory checks
ensuring materials are distributed efficiently to site teams
keeping accurate records of stock movements
liaising with suppliers and procurement to manage orders
maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of the store area
ensuring compliance with health & safety regulations
operating forklifts and other equipment
develop and maintain positive relationships with employees, suppliers, and subcontractors
this is a Permanent Position based in Luton with an immediate start date
