extensive operations experience in the power generation sector. This can include Energy from Waste, CCGT, Oil, Coal or Biomass or time served Royal Navy engineer

certified Mechanical, Electrical, or HVAC Craft Apprenticeship
minimum City & Guilds certificate/s within an appropriate engineering discipline
AP 15 High Voltage Authorised. - Essential
must be able to work on your own initiative as well as within a team
fully conversant with large complex multi functioning HVAC buildings
good communicator, good customer facing skills
take specific responsibility for the maintenance and operation of the sites critical, electrical, mechanical and HVAC services
knowledge and understanding of engineering operations within Critical Environments
charismatic and enthusiastic flexible approach to role and responsibilities
maintain a Safe Systems of Work process and periodically update as may be required
sound technical and environmental awareness
self-focused, motivated and willingness to provide excellent customer service via proactive and innovative working practices
manage and conduct fault finding across all engineering infrastructures
large UPS and Standby generator systems
the Engineering Team Leader MUST have leadership/supervisory experience

Responsibility

to act in the role of Senior Authorised Person with respect to the Gloucestershire Energy from Waste Safety Rules
provide shift cover for other STLs in the event of sickness, holiday or training
maintain and support an effective safety and housekeeping programme, including timely communication of all initiatives
to ensure that only suitable waste is processed, and non-conforming waste is appropriately dealt with
encourage and promote the shift team’s operational competency in a continuous improvement environment
you will also build and maintain relationships with colleagues to ensure effective communication across the site and ensure all visitors and contractors to site are inducted into the site safety and emergency procedures
