  • you will be compassionate, resilient and committed to being a positive role model
  • able to do overnight sleep-ins which are part of the role
  • NVQ level 3 in children's health and social care or equivalent or willing to work towards

  • experience as a Senior support worker or Deputy Manager
  • confident in managing challenging behaviours

Responsibility


  • you will be part of a team of Qualified Senior Support workers who will be responsible for
  • people experience compassion, dignity and respect in their everyday life
  • development and review of outcome focused support planning, working alongside external professionals and families
  • supporting those affected by homelessness and addictions
  • inclusion of carers, friends and family members in agreed interventions and expected outcomes
  • carrying out welfare checks
  • developing relationships with the persons wider social circle to encompass them into the person's life
  • managing a case load of individuals
  • to assess, plan and review risk assessments and support plans in a risk adventurous manner
  • to be responsible for undertaking all social work on allocated cases, or those worked with on a short term assessment basis
  • managing risk and safeguarding
  • to produce case reports and correspondence for a variety of readership, including meetings, conferences, court, other agencies and service users
  • to provide supervision, as appropriate, to social workers, students and/or social work assistants
  • establish appropriate professional relationships with service users, their families and other professionals to enable effective partnerships in the provision of services
  • to undertake cases with complex risk levels
  • make on-going assessments of allocated cases to reflect individual circumstances including assessment of risk, enabling independent functioning, and need to ensure that service users are protected from significant harm
  • prepare and present reports as necessary to facilitate proper decisions being made in respect of service users and to provide quality assurance
  • actively contributing to team working, supporting colleagues, covering for colleagues in their absence and taking part in team meetings
  • carrying out duty work; making referrals and Assessments
  • to Support the Registered Manager with the day to day running of the home
