Responsibility

  • to actively participate in social, recreational and educational activities with the young people
  • support children and young people to develop and maintain supportive relationships
  • any other reasonable management instruction
  • reflect on and develop your practice by engaging in supervision, team meetings, training and any other learning opportunity as required by Imagine Care
  • work with children and young people to promote their physical and mental health needs
  • build trusting relationships with children and young people
  • support with day-to-day routines including education, meals, and recreational activities
  • help manage and de-escalate challenging behaviours using therapeutic approaches
  • maintain accurate records and contribute to care planning
  • promote independence and emotional wellbeing
  • work as part of a team, including sleep-ins and shift/rota work
