Responsibility

  • promote, monitor and maintain health and safety in the working environment in accordance with policy and procedure
  • contribute to the assessment of children and young people’s risks and needs through the development of care plans and risk management plans
  • support children and young people to manage their lives and achieve their full potential
  • promote trauma informed practice, ensuring that the experiences and needs of young people are understood and appropriate supports are put in place
  • work with children and young people to prepare them for adulthood
  • to actively participate in social, recreational and educational activities with the young people
  • support children and young people to develop and maintain supportive relationships
  • any other reasonable management instruction
  • reflect on and develop your practice by engaging in supervision, team meetings, training and any other learning opportunity as required by Imagine Care
  • work with children and young people to promote their physical and mental health needs
  • staff will be required to work between our Airdrie and Blackwood campus
  • we are seeking to recruit enthusiastic, energetic, caring and committed individuals to join our care team
  • st Philip’s School provides specialist Residential Care and Education to young people aged 10 – 18 years, who have a range of additional support needs, including social, emotional and behavioural development
  • we are currently recruiting for Residential Child Care Workers as we develop and expand the range of services available to our young people
  • applicants with a current UK Driving License would be desirable
  • successful candidates must have HNC Social Care/SVQ 3 or working towards this
