Requirements


  • A mechanical engineering background
  • proven experience working in a COMAH manufacturing/production environment
  • experience within a manufacturing environment
  • A good understanding of LEAN principles
  • experienced with the engineering development and production release of an opto-electronics product
  • telco opto-electronics / miniaturisation experience
  • SC Cleared / Clearable
  • NPD - lean manufacturing experience, full production of fibre optics products
  • military standard / DEFSTAN product experience - Military and Aerospace grade product experience
  • PFMEA experience
  • you will have been involved with the package assembly of opto-electronics at fibre to dye level - a 2 point end to end product where the microelectronics fibre touches the dye down to micron level - secure it and stake it for a harsh environment
  • BEng/MEng qualified chemical/process engineer
  • chartered Chemical and/or Control Engineer, with at least 5 years industrial experience
  • self-starter, able to be accountable for project / commissioning delivery and working independently on agreed priorities
  • successful applicants will be team players able to collaborate across disciplines, with good problem solving and communication skills
  • significant energy experience with demonstrable oil and gas experience at project manager level
  • experience in technical and commercial proposal writing
  • previous leadership experience
  • heavy oil recovery processes
  • degree qualified in a relevant subject

Responsibility


  • be a complex problem solver and assist with the admin and planning of day-to-day manufacturing
  • plan for the recovery of material in manufacturing runs
  • to comply with all the Company's policies with specific reference to the Quality and Health and Safety procedures, at all times
  • compile information require for physical work orders
  • to work as part of a team
  • complete tasks on the company's ERP system
  • to liaise with line manager and colleagues

  • provide and maintain controls and advanced applications to meet business unit HSE/reliability and commercial targets
  • to act as owner for software configuration of the DCS / SCADA systems and supporting applications
  • monitor and maintain existing control/automation applications so that they continue to deliver safe, reliable and optimal plant operation for Petroineos business
  • role Responsibilities
  • work with process plant software
  • develop and improve existing control/automation applications so that they continue to meet the requirements of Petroineos
  • understand, identify and specify process requirements to meet clients’ specification through Concept, FEED, Detailed Design, Construction and Commissioning
  • conduct on-plant testing and resolution of technical issues having process engineering dimensions
  • develop process basis of design
  • develop and improve existing control/automation applications so that they continue to meet the requirements of the company
  • perform and check calculations as required
  • ensure tasks are completed in line with the project plan and communicate issues to stakeholders
