Requirements


  • no previous experience needed
  • the ability to assess service users’ needs
  • the ability to engage and support clients with their individual care and daily living programmes
  • the ability to participate in the support planning process
  • an awareness of the need for outward facing communications
  • an enthusiastic, self-starter with the ability to work in a small, dynamic environment
  • A confident personality with good organisational skills
  • minimum of 5 GCSE grades A-C or equivalent
  • to be able to commute to the care location
  • NVQ2 or L2 Diploma in Care is desirable
  • driving Licence and Car Owner desirable
  • basic Computer skills are essential
  • good Communication skills
  • hold a full drivers licence and have a car for work
  • hold a clean DBS or willing to apply for one
  • have at least two work references
  • have a right to work in the UK
  • kind and understanding
  • willingness to learn

  • supporting people with activities they enjoy, including shopping, activity centres, cinema, crafts, walks, swimming
  • providing companionship and emotional support to people
  • understanding and addressing individual needs in terms of age, gender, race, sexuality and disability, and meeting specific cultural and religious needs
  • providing the highest standard of care at all times, supporting people with all aspects of personal care where required, promoting as much independence as possible. Personal care may include washing / bathing, dressing, supporting to use toilet
  • helping people to shop for items they wish to buy including their clothes, personal items and food, this may include completing shopping lists and menu planning. Also supporting to prepare meals as required

  • the shifts run from 9.30pm to 8am the following day
