Requirements


  • good working knowledge of engineering design principles, material properties and applications with experience working to mechanical technical drawings
  • good working knowledge of CAD e.g., Fusion 360 or Solid Works
  • experience in fault-finding and resolving technical problems, resolution of day-to-day customer and team issues
  • experience in operating commercial 3D printers, both metal and polymer
  • experience of project management and/or people management
  • experience of producing risk assessments and method statements
  • good working knowledge of data preparation and STL editor software for additive manufacturing
  • your availability to work either immediately, or at short notice
  • experience in setting, operating and programming CNC machines ideally HAAS
  • precision hand fitting and assembly skills

  • minimum 2:1 degree, in a relevant field of study or equivalent experience

  • work flexibly across the spectrum of Manufacturing Engineering weld and fabrication activities and disciplines in line with varied project requirements
  • responsibility for checking accuracy of manufacturing Bill of Materials lineside
  • interpreting engineering drawings
  • promote best practice and safe working procedures
  • working to Technical Instructions to deliver consistent, high-quality machining and inspection processes across a variety of different components and product families
  • perform a range of routine, reactive, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance tasks
  • operating a variety of CNC machines including 9 Axis, Doosan Puma MX2100ST or Okuma LB15 CNC Lathe
  • work across the plant, site or business, to ensure that manufacturing equipment is safe, available and capable for use when required
  • operating a variety of measuring equipment, including, micrometres, plug gauges, and surface finish equipment
  • utilise hand tools and test equipment to deliver customer requirements
  • correct interpretation of manufacturing drawings, customer drawings, written specifications and understanding programmes
