Requirements


  • good working knowledge of engineering design principles, material properties and applications with experience working to mechanical technical drawings
  • good working knowledge of CAD e.g., Fusion 360 or Solid Works
  • experience in fault-finding and resolving technical problems, resolution of day-to-day customer and team issues
  • experience in operating commercial 3D printers, both metal and polymer
  • experience of project management and/or people management
  • experience of producing risk assessments and method statements
  • good working knowledge of data preparation and STL editor software for additive manufacturing
  • your availability to work either immediately, or at short notice
  • experience in setting, operating and programming CNC machines ideally HAAS
  • precision hand fitting and assembly skills

  • minimum 2:1 degree, in a relevant field of study or equivalent experience

Responsibility


  • location

  • work flexibly across the spectrum of Manufacturing Engineering weld and fabrication activities and disciplines in line with varied project requirements
  • responsibility for checking accuracy of manufacturing Bill of Materials lineside
  • interpreting engineering drawings
  • promote best practice and safe working procedures
  • conducting maintenance activities on machines in line with preventative maintenance schedules
  • wash, clean and bead blast components
  • interpretation of build instruction documentation for detailed part requirements
  • liaise and work with other functions and processes within the Additive Manufacturing Centre
  • inspection and packing parts ready for shipping
  • maintain a high standard of machine cleanliness and maintenance
  • hand sanding of parts
  • able to turn around 3D print builds in a timely manner making sure that all machines are running and maximising the best utilisation possible
  • shared responsibility in monitoring machines, evenings and weekends
