Responsibility

undertake necessary repairs and replacements as required
oversee and maintain the kitchen facilities, ensuring all equipment is in good working condition
conduct routine inspections and maintenance of electronic systems within the facility
stay up to date with industry developments, emerging technologies, and best practices related to lighting systems for roads and highways, and use this knowledge to inform project design and implementation
ensure that lighting systems are designed, installed, and maintained in compliance with relevant regulations and standards
communication: Effective communication skills are essential for liaising with clients, stakeholders, and team members to ensure projects are completed on time, on budget, and to the required quality standards
observe, follow and maintain the integrity of all safe systems across site and follow any safety instructions, as required
deliver improvement engineering through the use of structured problem solving techniques and applying engineering technical knowledge
assist and support operators to undertake low level engineering tasks in structured process
develop standard operating procedures and support production activities to improve equipment performance
to support engineering and operations as directed when required
ensure compliance with engineering visual standards, where applicable
ensure that breakdowns are attended promptly and resolved properly, using all the resources at your disposal
assist with the Consultation with Councillors to inform programmes of work
obtain and interpret internal data from Highway Inspectors regarding the condition of network to inform programmes of works
assist with the management of highway’s condition surveys in accordance with Department for Transport requirements to obtain an accurate and true representation of the condition of the highway network
using detailed highway network condition data to develop and assemble structural maintenance programmes to maintain and improve the highway network
using the term service contracts to assist the Highway Asset Manager to deliver the required services for the maintenance and improvement of the Council’s highway network
assist with contractors
repairing/Replacing leaky faucets, Repairing/Replacing light bulbs and fixtures
