Requirements


  • previous experience within street lighting highly desirable but not essential
  • electrical NVQ, C&G or equivalent desirable
  • ability to work individually but also as part of a team
  • up to date knowledge of road and highways health and safety
  • excellent communication skills

Responsibility


  • taking a supporting role in the development, implementation and continuous improvement of all public lighting systems and maintenance
  • to provide an out-of-hours highway emergency service if required
  • create work packs for street lighting maintenance
  • inspect all lighting work for any defects
  • communicate with the public, engineers, and council on on-going and future works
  • carry out risk assessments in line with health and safety regulations
  • support the wider team in delivering reactive and planned maintenance works
  • to comply with all Health and Safety regulations and the company’s Health and Safety Policy at all times
  • to attend training courses as and where necessary and to ensure personal job skills keep pace with technical developments
  • working on-site in a client facing role
  • technical operation for events
  • overseeing video and / or lighting workflows
  • to ensure that your work area is kept safe and tidy at all times
  • onsite content management
  • to abide by the Health & Safety Work Act 1974
  • embracing and learning new areas of technology

  • setting up and de-rigging events
