Requirements

  • SSSTS or equivalent
  • coded welder to BS.... or equivalent
  • IPAF 3a 3b
  • slinger / signaller
  • for immediate start for a permanent PAYE position
  • must have relevant experience, be coded to ISO 9606 and hold current CSCS card
  • applicants should have experience with welding heavy plate fabrications
  • average earnings in excess of £30.00 per hour
  • work will be based on steelwork contracts on major construction sites within the Greater London area and mainly within the City of London

Responsibility

  • interpret blueprints, drawings, and measurements to plan layouts
  • weld small and large components such as copper plumbing, beams, and pipelines
  • use specialized machinery for industrial welding and oversee machines that perform the same job
  • assess welded surfaces, structures and components to identify errors
  • follow and enforce strict safety regulations such as wearing heat-resistant gloves, protective masks, and safety shoes
  • must be able to Fabricate Tig and Mig weld; Mild Steel, Stainless Steel, Aluminium
  • this is a permanent position
  • 38 hour week Monday to Thursday 7.30 am - 17.30 pm and Friday 7.00 am -12.00 pm
  • rate up to £20.00 per hour
  • £24.00 per hour including shift allowance
