Requirements

qualified counsellor with relevant accreditation and certifications
proven experience in relationship counselling
availability to offer in person/face-to-face counselling sessions
must have access to a professional counselling room for face-to-face appointments

ability to establish rapport with clients and create a supportive therapeutic alliance
accredited qualification in psychotherapy from a recognised institution
proven experience in delivering effective therapy sessions
excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with clients
ability to create detailed care plans tailored to individual client requirements
A compassionate approach with a strong desire to help others achieve their goals
provide input into School policies as coordinated by the Assistant Master
produce an annual report with statistical analysis on counselling and issues arising at Westminster Under School
promote the School and its policies actively
represent the School at relevant internal events e.g. Open Days
work closely with the Assistant Master and the Safeguarding Team where appropriate. Be responsible for maintaining ethical standards in counselling practice and in conjunction with the School’s policies and as they refer to Safeguarding

Responsibility

we are currently seeking self-employed, experienced and qualified - Kent based Relationship Counsellors/Therapists to join our team
conduct face-to-face couple therapy and individual counselling sessions
the ideal candidate will be a fully qualified therapist with a strong background in counselling, with specific expertise in relationship counselling
provide professional guidance and support to clients facing challenges in their relationships
create a safe and confidential space for clients to explore and address their concerns
collaborate with clients to develop effective coping strategies and communication skills
maintain accurate and up-to-date client records in compliance with ethical standards
