Requirements


  • qualified counsellor with relevant accreditation and certifications
  • proven experience in relationship counselling
  • availability to offer in person/face-to-face counselling sessions
  • must have access to a professional counselling room for face-to-face appointments
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to establish rapport with clients and create a supportive therapeutic alliance
  • accredited member with BACP, IACP, UKCP or equivalent, or committed to achieve within 12 months
  • experience of working clinically within statutory and/or voluntary agencies
  • recognised Diploma in Counselling
  • managing personally sensitive information
  • computer literate
  • at least two years of supervised counselling practice with adults
  • able to work as part of a team
  • excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • diploma, Degree or Masters, or equivalent counselling or psychotherapy qualification as regulated by the RQF or SCQF and from a recognised or a relevant validating organisation e.g. Counselling and Psychotherapy Central Awarding Body
  • BACP / IACP / UKCP or equivalent accreditation which includes current membership & evidence of associate membership number
  • able to use Microsoft Outlook for diary, workload, and email management
  • previous experience of working with children, young people and adults
  • be able to travel as required for the role
  • have experience of remote access support
