  • dual Diagnosis
  • crisis Resolution
  • social Work England Registered
  • extensive Mental Health Social Work Experience
  • completing Mental Health Capacity Acts
  • enhanced DBS
  • degree or equivalent in social work
  • degree or equivalent in Mental Health Nursing
  • current Social Work England registration
  • experience working as a Community Psychiatric Nurse
  • significant frontline experience in Adults Services
  • NMC Registration
  • prior experience working within a mental health setting would be ideal
  • experience working in an NHS setting
  • car driver essential with access to own vehicle
  • significant experience working as a CPN or OT care-coordinator, in older adult community teams, is essential
  • having a full driving licence and a care for travel for work is ideal, as Croydon is a large geographical area
  • able to demonstrate they have experience using various psycho-social interventions for wellbeing in dementia
  • dementia care mapping qualification, or experience completing psychological formulations in MDT
  • someone with excellent knowledge of dementia in the moderate to severe stage of the disease progression

Responsibility


  • using explanatory models of illness
  • explaining the causes of psychosis and treatment options
  • working with families of people with psychosis
  • conflict management and conflict resolution
  • to plan and deliver treatment interventions in line with Best Practice and local and National Guidelines
