Responsibility
- sourcing research funding opportunities, both from traditional and previously unexplored sources of funding
- working closely with colleagues in RBD and the wider St Andrews Innovation team to diversify the research and innovation funding portfolio
- participate in initial negotiations with funders including price and intellectual property rights and options
- troubleshooting live research projects and identifying potential for follow on funding in conjunction with BDMs
- assisting BDMs in developing and managing relationships with funders on the phone and in person
- working with BDMs in liaison with the Technology Transfer Centre to understand Intellectual Property potential and helping to guide development of a strategy for the appropriate treatment/ownership of that IP as it evolves
- proactively engaging with the wider St Andrews Innovation team and individual academics to identify opportunities to develop a portfolio of income generating activities
