- we are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Residential Support Worker to join our team
- you will work in partnership with other agencies to deliver high-quality care and support for children in a residential setting
- supporting service users with personal care, cooking, and cleaning
- acting as a key worker and completing required reports/paperwork
- as a key worker, you will help young people achieve positive outcomes, ensuring their views and wishes are considered
- responsibilities include maintaining a clean and safe home, preparing nutritious meals, managing risks, and supporting children through trauma and challenging behaviors
- encouraging engagement in community activities and attending appointments
- using service users’ vehicles for outings
Requirements
- must have the right to live and work in the UK
- 6–12 months of UK experience in a care environment, ideally in a learning disability setting
- must have experience working in adults residential
- understanding of challenging behaviours
- computer literacy
- reliable, empathetic, and trustworthy
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- confident and able to positively influence the lives of service users
