Responsibility

  • provide motivational leadership, embed with a culture of excellence across all departments
  • develop an annual business plan and a longer term 5-10 year plan
  • provide budgetary/revenue/costs management and analyse of financial reports
  • lead a range of projects including estates and fundraising
  • develop, implement and keep refreshed a marketing strategy
  • act as the first point of contact for the Trustees and provide assurance to the Trustees via regular reports/dashboard, site inspections and Trustee meetings
  • lead the development and implementation of a robust workforce Human Resources management system including recruitment, L&D, retention plan and processes and in line with policies, procedures and statutory requirements
  • overall responsibility of the home, managing all direct reports
  • managing the recruitment and training of the team; ensuring training targets are met and team are competent in their roles
  • managing rotas and ensuring correct team member levels and skill mix within the home on a continual basis
  • leading regular communication with residents, relatives and external stakeholders
  • managing financial budgets to ensure revenue and income targets are met
  • ensuring that the CQC regulatory standards are achieved and that all staff are trained to understand and operate at this level
  • covering for the on call rota on site for 1 weekend in 3

  • ensure the team assess, plan, implement and evaluate individual care plans involving other relevant agencies as appropriate
  • lead on infection control, health and safety and other relevant procedures
  • be a contributory member of the company Clinical Governance Group implementing changes and improvements to the whole service
  • be responsible for the safe, effective, responsive and well-led clinical operation of the service, taking full ownership and accountability for all aspects of the service provision
