Requirements

proven experience in fabricating, welding, and assembling components
proficiency in working with sheet metal and various hand tools
strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot issues and make adjustments as needed
familiarity with power tools and their safe usage in a manufacturing environment
ability to interpret technical drawings and follow assembly instructions accurately
MIG welding: 1 year
fabrication: 1 year
previous experience in a uPVC and Aluminium window and door manufacturing environment is essential
knowledge of industry regulations and safety standards
basic maths skills for inventory management
mechanical knowledge to address equipment issues
strong leadership and communication skills
previous experience in fabrication or a related field is preferred
proficiency in reading and interpreting schematics
strong mechanical aptitude and ability to use various fabrication tools and equipment
forklift certification is a plus
ability to work independently and as part of a team
attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately

Responsibility

fabricate and assemble components according to technical drawings and specifications
utilize hand tools and power tools to cut, shape, and weld materials
perform stick welding to join metal parts together effectively
conduct basic mathematical calculations to ensure accurate measurements and cuts
inspect finished products for quality assurance and make necessary adjustments
collaborate with team members to optimize production processes and meet project deadlines
coordinate and oversee daily production activities
ensure compliance with safety standards and industry regulations
monitor production lines to maintain efficiency and quality
train and supervise production staff
troubleshoot any mechanical issues that may arise
maintain accurate production records
ideal candidates should have a minimum of 1 year experience of the industry
due to continued demand we require the services of an additional fabricator specialising in the manufacture of windows, doors and curtain wall, ideally the candidate would be familiar with aluminium systems however other system experience such as Upvc manufacture will be considered
excellent rates of pay are offered - subject to experience for the preferred candidate with the opportunity of overtime when required to suit the business needs
standard hours of work are Mon - Thurs 07:30am - 4pm / Fri 07:30am - 2pm
