we expect the successful candidate to have experience working as an Arborist. You should be confident identifying risks and hazards and hold NPTC certificates. This will be a great role for someone who has a positive attitude and a good team spirit
this role would suit someone who is a qualified Arborist, Arboriculturist, Tree Surgeon or Landscaper who has started their tree surgery training. You will need to have 3 years' climbing experience and a full UK driving licence
strong knowledge and experience with modern Arboriculture techniques
excellent organisational and time management skills
strong leadership skills
eligibility to work within the UK
strong attention to detail to guarantee quality workmanship
IPAF certification
problem-solving skills to address any issues or challenges that arise during projects
ability to work independently as well as part of a team
supervising: 1 year
3 years minimum proven experience in tree care
CS30, CS31, CS38 and CS39 required as a minimum
previous wider industry experience desirable but not essential; Fencing / Landscaping
stump Grinder, Woodchipper tickets and First Aid+Forestry desirable
tree Work: 3 years
valid and clean Driver’s License

Responsibility

all aspects of general Arborist work
communicating with Tree Officers, General Public and Customers
reporting any equipment and vehicle maintenance requirements to the workshop
you must wear PPE at all times whilst working
onsite and in the yard
coordinate and schedule projects/tasks for team members
collaborate with clients and team members to ensure project success and completion on time and within budget
monitor progress and quality of work
provide guidance and support to staff
manage inventory and equipment
report all hazards and incidents in accordance with company policy
tree Climbing: Safely ascend and work within trees to prune, trim, remove, or perform other necessary tree surgery tasks
ground Operations: Assist climbers by providing ground support, including guiding branches and logs safely to the ground
rigging and Lowering: Use proper rigging techniques to control the descent of cut branches and logs to protect property and personnel
chipping and Debris Removal: Operate wood chippers and assist in debris cleanup
aerial Rescue: Be prepared to perform aerial rescue in the event of an emergency involving a fellow climber
equipment Management: Maintain, clean, and organize tools and equipment
equipment Maintenance: Maintain climbing gear and equipment to ensure they are in safe and working condition
traffic and Site Control: Coordinate with the team to ensure a safe working environment, including traffic control and site setup
adherence to Safety Standards: Strictly follow safety protocols and ensure personal and team safety at all times
