Requirements


  • agricultural Engineering: 2 years
  • previous experience of working on main line agricultural machinery
  • full UK driving licence
  • basic IT competency
  • agricultural, Plant Mechanic, Mobile Mechanic
  • agricultural Main Dealer
  • NVQ level or equivalent in Plant/Land Base Mechanical Engineering
  • hourly Rate up to £18 p.h
  • ability to service a wide range of heavy tracked plant machines
  • investigate & diagnose technical problems
  • interpersonal relationships/ Customer awareness/ Commercial awareness
  • efficient and flexible with the ability to work without supervision
  • an Agricultural Service Engineer should have the relevant qualifications or experience in the field of Land Based Engineering
  • have excellent people and communication skills at all levels

Responsibility


  • onsite customer support to our range of machinery within the region
  • keeping machinery in peak operating condition through scheduled maintenance, repairs and inspections
  • completing jobs to a high standard promptly and within a given timeframe
  • develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external customers
  • good customer service skills
  • have the ability to work independently to troubleshoot and solve problems
  • ensure work/personal equipment complies with all safety standards
  • supervising Apprentices, when required, to ensure that a high quality of work and safe working procedures are maintained
  • perform diagnostics, service, and repairs on agricultural equipment, in-house and on site
  • perform pre-delivery set up on new or used equipment
  • completion of job-related administration and reports
  • maintain a tidy and organised workstation
  • competent to carry out vehicle diagnostics
  • follow company health & safety rules
  • undertake training
  • mentor apprentices
  • confident in the use of IT
  • as an Agricultural Service Engineer, you will work on the full range of machines from the dealer’s franchises
  • to participate in training to improve your skills
  • to work on evenings and weekends during peak periods
