Requirements


  • relevant experience in agricultural/ Plant engineering
  • full UK driving licence
  • ability to work independently and within a wider team
  • agricultural Engineering: 2 years
  • previous experience of working on main line agricultural machinery
  • basic IT competency
  • relevant experience and qualifications. City and Guild, NVQLevel 2 in Land Based Engineering or relevant essential
  • experience in Agricultural plant, diesel engines, electrics, hydraulics, transmissions, and fault finding using electronic diagnostic equipment
  • the ability to prioritise tasks and work well under pressure
  • good interpersonal skills and a good understanding of the importance of excellent customer service
  • good computer skills however training will be provided
  • full clean driver's licence

  • agricultural Main Dealer
  • NVQ level or equivalent in Plant/Land Base Mechanical Engineering
  • hourly Rate up to £18 p.h
  • ability to service a wide range of heavy tracked plant machines

  • efficient and flexible with the ability to work without supervision

Responsibility


  • carry out repairs, servicing and maintenance on agricultural equipment
  • install aftermarket MC/MG systems on client sites
  • support workshop operations and field service requirements
  • fault diagnosis across mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems
  • maintain service standards and support customers with technical advice
  • oversee maintenance schedules to prevent downtime and ensure optimal equipment performance
  • repairing and maintaining machines on customer’s sites as required to ensure conformance with manufacturer’s specification
  • accurately completing all relevant paperwork daily
  • accurately ordering of your parts and working closely with the parts department
  • working closely with the service supervisor
  • carrying out inspections and repairs of machines at our depot as required - in conformance with manufacturer’s specification and any regulations affecting their use
  • ensuring that there is no deficiency or defect likely to affect the safe working of a machine – and notifying appropriate manager of any defective or unsafe equipment
  • onsite customer support to our range of machinery within the region
  • keeping machinery in peak operating condition through scheduled maintenance, repairs and inspections
  • completing jobs to a high standard promptly and within a given timeframe
  • develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external customers
  • good customer service skills
  • have the ability to work independently to troubleshoot and solve problems
  • ensure work/personal equipment complies with all safety standards
  • supervising Apprentices, when required, to ensure that a high quality of work and safe working procedures are maintained
